I fish. Nothing happens, then a fish, then nothing. It's the only thing I've found where nobody needs anything from me for twenty minutes at a time.

The trouble is, I can't leave a number alone. Somebody in Booty Bay told me his Mightfish was the biggest anyone had ever caught. It wasn't. I checked. Nobody had written any of it down, so I started. Then other people wanted their fish written down too, and then they wanted to know whose was bigger, and now there are races and a feast and a bet with the cooks in Booty Bay. I didn't plan any of that. It happened around me while I was sitting still.

If you paste me your journal, I'll write your fish down. I read the top ten myself. If something looks wrong, I'll fix it, and I'll stand by it.

And no, I'm not Hemet Nesingwary. He shoots things. I wait for them.
