What this site keeps, why, and how to get rid of it. Last changed October 31, 2026.
When you paste a journal from the R.E.E.L. addon, I keep what's in it: every catch with its time, zone, subzone and spot on the map, what it was, and your fishing skill and level at the time; your fishing sessions; and the random ID the addon made for that character. I also keep the character's full name, region, Ruleset, faction and class, and they show on the leaderboards, events and the character's page.
If you were at the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza, your journal also carries the names Riggle Bassbait shouted as winners, and when. The site lists each Sunday's winners from them.
To stop floods, the site counts how many times your IP address pastes in an hour. The address is hashed with a secret only the server has, so it can't be turned back into the address.
The tier list and the trophies you pick to show first are kept with that character and shown on its page.
You don't need an account to paste a journal or be on the boards. If you sign in:
I never see your password for either. Signing in sets one cookie, so the site knows it's you; it holds a random code and nothing else.
For characters with their name on a journal, the site asks Blizzard's public character API for the character's picture and keeps a copy here.
When you send something through the feedback form, I keep your message, the page it was about, and the way to reach you if you gave one. If you're signed in, it's linked to your account. I also keep your IP address, hashed the same way, only to stop anyone sending dozens of messages an hour. Only I read them.
The server keeps ordinary logs of requests, which include IP addresses, for about a month. The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits; it doesn't use cookies or follow you around the web. There are no ads and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
On your account page, Delete account removes your sign-ins and lets go of your characters. Tick the box next to it to delete their journals too, and they come off the boards and events.
If a character isn't on your account yet, sign in with Battle.net. Your characters with journals here are added to your account, and you can delete them from there. You can also sign out at any time from your account page.
